Socks

K went to a favorite yarn store of mine back in November and picked out two balls of sock yarn. They were dispatched to Amman via my kind parents who send me junk food and yarn every month.

I took the yarn to Syria on Thanksgiving and began knitting a sock while I waited with my friends for a visa.

Over the next week in Syria I made all of one, and most of the other sock. The heels turned out well.

Conservative Socks

I like the texture added by the green.

Three variegated yarns, how I love these socks.

I made more socks en route to Damascus. This was my third trip, and my third pair. I still need to photograph the second pair, but they are currently in the laundry. Come to think of it, I still need to post the Hanne jacket I finished months ago...

K brought me two skeins of Koigu KPPPM from the States. The colors are P803196 and P6B5X165. I swear that's what is written on the label. I had some left over green wool from my first Syria socks, and I used most of that up too. I knitted them from the toe up, and above the heel I added a purl row of the green in between the tan-ish yarn. K thinks these socks are loud! The nerve!
